About Dr. Somogyi
Dr. Ron Somogyi
Dr. Ron Somogyi is a Toronto-based plastic surgeon, having trained at the University of Toronto in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He went on to complete two fellowships in Melbourne, Australia. The first, a fellowship in reconstructive surgery at Australia’s largest cancer hospital The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, focused on complex cancer reconstruction with an emphasis on microsurgical breast reconstruction. The second, a fellowship in general and cosmetic plastic surgery at the well-known Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery, provided Dr. Somogyi with an in-depth, wide-ranging experience in aesthetic plastic surgery. Each of these fellowships taught him new and innovative techniques and honed the unique cosmetic surgery skills he has brought back to his practice here in Toronto.
Dr. Somogyi has been on full time staff at North York General since 2014. He also maintains privileges at Women’s College Hospital and is active academically as an Assistant Professor within the Department of Surgery at The University of Toronto. He maintains an active research interest in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, particularly in the area of breast surgery, and has recently published journal articles and book chapters on breast reconstruction, surgical safety and breast augmentation. Dr. Somogyi is involved in speaking and teaching nationally and internationally. Dr. Somogyi’s focus is on providing the best possible experience for each and every patient, and this vision guides him in every facet of his practice at FORM Face + Body.
