Why FORM?

Why FORM?

We know that choosing an aesthetic provider is an important decision that often demands many hours of research. To help you decide whether we’re the right fit for you, we’ve distilled four of the areas of our practice that we’re most proud of when it comes to serving our patients.

1. Our motivation.

Since Dr. Jalil and Dr. Somogyi joined forces to create FORM Face + Body, they’ve been driven by a common goal: to exemplify the most genuine care and concern for the wellbeing of our patients. We consider every aspect of the patient experience to ensure you feel heard, informed, and supported at each step. We hold regular staff meetings that focus on continuously elevating our patient care standards, and we listen to and incorporate feedback from our patients. We ensure that you are being offered the right care for you from the right provider, whether that means a surgical or non-surgical solution with the FORM team or a referral to our network of colleagues. We empathize with the wide range of concerns, problems, and fears that our patients bring to us, and our motivation lies in using our skillsets to alleviate some of these burdens. Our ultimate goal is for our patients to be happy and satisfied—and we do everything in our power to help make that happen.

2. Our surgical foundation.

When you choose FORM, you benefit from the partnership that Dr. Somogyi and Dr. Jalil have forged and their extensive combined training, education, and experience. They often consult with one another on treatment plans and techniques, sometimes even working together in the OR for especially long or complex surgeries. In terms of years in practice, we feel our surgical team falls in the sweet spot of well-established skills and experience, while actively keeping up to date with cutting edge techniques and practices.

Another unique benefit is our surgeons’ dual training in both cosmetic and reconstructive techniques. Cosmetic surgery generally enhances and improves a healthy and functional part of the body, while reconstructive surgery corrects a deformity—congenital or acquired—that can cause functional or cosmetic problems to a patient. Dr. Somogyi and Dr. Jalil feel strongly that the principles of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery inform each other and allow them to accurately assess each patient’s concerns and provide long lasting, functional, natural and beautiful results.

For example, a breast reduction patient could be perfectly healthy and primarily desire cosmetic improvements to their silhouette, but a thorough consultation and skillful procedure will also provide the benefits of reduced back pain, shoulder grooving, and rashes. A breast reconstruction patient is primarily seeking to restore their breast(s) in light of a cancer diagnosis and/or mastectomy, but an aesthetic eye is very important to create the most natural-looking results. In this sense, we combine science and art to create the best possible outcomes for our patients.

3. Our outstanding support.

We have a patient-centred philosophy here at FORM, and we’ve built an incredibly dedicated team to ensure your needs are always met—we know this can make a huge difference in how you feel about your surgical experience. It’s no surprise that our reviews often include shoutouts and appreciation for our support staff! Our stars include Nurse Michele, an experienced RN who guides our patients through their post-op care and ensures you feel at ease throughout your recovery. Our patient coordinators Justine and Shani go above and beyond to answer your questions thoroughly and keep you up to date as you move through the booking process—they’re an excellent resource if you’re not quite ready to book a surgical consultation but want to chat about your options first.

We also work to connect you with other types of providers that can complement the procedure you have with us. For our breast reconstruction patients, we have fostered relationships with highly-recommended physiotherapists and NAC (nipple-areolar complex) tattoo artists that can help our patients optimize their recovery and add the finishing touches to a natural-looking breast result. Many of our liposuction and mommy makeover patients ask about lymphatic massage to improve their results—not only do we maintain a shortlist of preferred registered massage therapists, we cover the costs of your first treatment when you have surgery with us. We are always looking for ways to use our connections to your advantage and offer a holistic approach to your care.

4. Access to our team.

Another element of patient care we feel is very important is the level of access you have to your medical team from start to finish. Some practices choose to leave their consultations to a nurse or coordinator—the patient may not even meet their surgeon face to face until the day of their surgery. At FORM, your surgical consultation will always be with either Dr. Somogyi or Dr. Jalil. We believe that meeting with the surgeon you are entrusting your body to is essential from the very beginning of your journey and throughout. We take the time to listen to your story, answer all your questions, and work together on a plan to change your life for the better.

After your surgery, you’ll receive a call from your surgeon that evening and have an opportunity to check in about how you’re feeling and ask any initial questions. You’ll also receive your surgeon’s cell phone number in case of any urgent concerns that come up during your recovery, and of course our support team remains available via phone, text, or email for any questions. At FORM, we’re dedicated to ensuring that each patient feels truly cared for and supported as an individual. Both before and after your surgery, we are always here for you.

We hope this gives you a taste of our values and what we feel sets up apart from the crowd. If you have any questions for us, don’t hesitate to reach out today.

We’re counting down to something BIG. Follow along on social and stay tuned for the reveal on October 12th!
