Neck Lift Surgery
A neck lift procedure may take several hours. During surgery, your surgeon will make several small incisions, often in front and behind your ears and under your chin. The muscles of the neck are lifted and excess fat and skin is removed. Once the surgical procedure is complete, incisions are closed and a pressure dressing will be applied to aid in healing.
After neck lift surgery, your recovery will take place over several weeks. Sutures generally heal quickly and can be removed in 5-10 days. Most patients experience some bruising and swelling after surgery and will need to ease slowly back into everyday life, but your surgical team will provide detailed instructions on aftercare and recovery to maximize healing and minimize any discomfort.
